2. What data we process and why

  • Visiting the shop: When you visit the shop, technically necessary data such as IP address, browser type, date and time of access and the pages viewed are processed to display the shop and keep it secure (legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; our legitimate interest is a secure and working shop).
  • Orders: For your order we process your name, address, email, phone number (if provided), order and payment details. We need this data to conclude and perform the contract, including shipping, payment and customer service (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR), and we keep it as required by tax and commercial law (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR).
  • Customer account: If you sign in to your customer account, we process your email address and order history to provide the account (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
  • Contact, chat and withdrawal: If you contact us by email, contact form, chat or the withdrawal form, we process your details to answer your request or process your withdrawal (Art. 6(1)(b), (c) and (f) GDPR).
  • Newsletter: If you subscribe to our newsletter, we use your email address to send you news and offers (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in every email.
  • Cookies, analytics and advertising: With your consent via the cookie banner (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR; Art. 5(3) ePrivacy Directive, in Germany § 25(1) TDDDG), we use cookies and similar technologies for analytics and advertising. You can change your choice at any time via “Your privacy choices”. Technically necessary cookies, for example for the cart and checkout, are used without consent (Art. 5(3) ePrivacy Directive, in Germany § 25(2) TDDDG; Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Providing data is not required by law. Without the data required for the order, however, we cannot conclude the contract. We do not use automated decision-making within the meaning of Art. 22 GDPR.

3. Service providers and recipients

  • Shopify (Shopify International Limited, Ireland, and Shopify Inc., Canada): shop system, hosting, checkout, customer accounts, shop chat and emails. In addition, Shopify uses certain data under its own responsibility for enhanced features; details: Shopify Consumer Privacy Policy and Shopify Privacy Portal.
  • Payment providers: Shopify Payments (with its payment processing partners) and PayPal (Europe) S.à r.l. et Cie, S.C.A., Luxembourg, depending on the payment method you choose.
  • Shipping: our fulfilment partners and the carriers receive the data needed for delivery.
  • Klaviyo (Klaviyo, Inc., USA): sending emails and newsletters; with your consent, analysing shop visits for this purpose.
  • Google (Google Ireland Limited, Ireland): Google Analytics and Google advertising services, with your consent.
  • TikTok (TikTok Technology Limited, Ireland): TikTok pixel for measuring advertising, with your consent.

Where data is transferred to countries outside the European Economic Area, for example to Singapore, the USA or Canada, this is done on the basis of an adequacy decision of the European Commission (e.g. for Canada or, for certified companies, the EU-US Data Privacy Framework) or standard contractual clauses (Art. 46(2)(c) GDPR).

4. Storage period

We delete personal data when it is no longer needed for the purposes stated above, unless statutory retention obligations apply (for example up to 10 years for accounting records). Newsletter data is kept until you unsubscribe.

5. Your rights

You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing and data portability, and the right to object to processing based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. You can withdraw any consent at any time with effect for the future. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, in particular in the member state of your habitual residence.
